Jocelyn honoured in Black and White Spider Awards
Photographer Jocelyn Watts of Australia has been honoured in the prestigious 9th Annual Black and White Spider Awards in the Abstract Category.
The recent Nomination and Winners PhotoShow webcast gala was attended by photography fans around the globe who logged on to see the climax of the industry’s most important event for black and white photography.
The awards’ international jury included captains of the industry from The Royal Photography Society, FoMu Fotomuseum, Aeroplastics Contemporary, Torch Gallery, Stockholm City Museum to Fratelli Alinari in Florence who honoured Spider Fellows with 298 converted title awards and 957 nominees in 14 categories.
“It is an incredible achievement to be selected among the best from the 8508 entries from 73 countries that we received this year,” said creative director Basil O’Brien.
“Jocelyn’s photo titled Eco Fire, an exceptional image entered in the Abstract category represents black and white photography at its finest, and we’re pleased to present her with the title of Nominee.”
Jocelyn also won two Nominee awards in the 8th Annual Black and White Spider Awards last year with Sensual in the Abstract category and Flying on Cloud 9 in the Fine Art category.
