Jocelyn’s Photography Inspired By Her Father

William C. Scott, Australian Master Photographer

GLOBAL HONOURS

Jocelyn’s father, William C. Scott (Bill), captured the attention of judges across the globe with his Australian photography.
Bill joined the Australian Photographic Society in the 1970s and despite a lack of formal training, he gained national and international recognition as a Master Photographer.
He became a member of the Royal Photographic Society of Great Britain in 1991 and was later awarded a Licentiate Diploma.
Bill’s many awards included a bronze medallion in Rome, a gold medal in London and two gold medals in Austria.
A photo titled Mother and Chicks attracted the bronze medallion in the 1989 International Exhibition of Art Photography, Italy, as the only Australian acceptance that year.
In the 1999 Austrian Super Circuit, which attracted 35,000 prints and slides from 118 countries, his slide titled Going Nowhere won the gold medal in the Luck, Humour and Fun section. The same image was awarded a gold medal in 2001 Austrian Best of Circuit, which had a total of 24,000 entries from 102 countries.
